Medaille College Online
Medaille College's online programs leading to associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees and advanced certificates.
Course work for the programs is entirely online, and students can participate in class discussions, interact with classmates, and submit assignments all online.
Online courses span seven weeks, which is the same length as the accelerated on-ground courses. Accelerated curriculum is delivered in a manner that optimizes learning.
The curriculum provides a liberal arts and sciences foundation with access to career-oriented education.
The mission of the Academic Advisement Center is to provide students with direction and support to achieve their academic goals. The staff works with students and other college offices to help resolve issues or problems that may impede academic progress. The Academic Support Center provides an environment in which students can get extra help, study for a test, work on a class assignment or enhance basic academic and study skills.
The college traces its roots to 1875 when the Sisters of Saint Joseph founded an institute for the preparation of teachers. In 1937, the Sisters received a charter from New York State to grant baccalaureate degrees in education to women in religious orders, and the institute was named Mount Saint Joseph Teachers College. In 1969, the college became an independent nonsectarian institution when it was renamed Medaille College.
